How not to lose customer faith online

Posted 27/June/2014 by vicky

It doesn’t take along for your customer’s to sum you up online. Although the look and feel of your website is very important in portraying the way your customers see you there are other contributing factors too.

Know your site.

To show your customers you are hands on and you take pride in your business you need to make sure you know your website like the back of your hand.

If a client should call you and say that they have called you because they are on your website and they wanted to ask you a few questions, that’s great. What’s not great is if the information you want to supply to them is on your website but you don’t know how to navigate them to it!

Know your navigation; know your pages, where the information is and the quickest way to get there. If you can’t tell a customer how to navigate to information on your pages you will soon lose the customers faith in you.

Take the time to tell your story. If a client has come to your site and feel you have the product or service they are looking for take the time to tell them your story, details about your service and product and what differentiates you from your competitors.

Take some time to write up content on your pages. Getting to a site that barely has a paragraph of text on the pages just sends the message that you are small time operation and can really put people off.

Don’t appear desperate.

Of course you want to tell customers what you do and why your great but don’t try too hard to throw up sales pitches all over your site. Professionally convey the sales message through professional design and avoid loud over the top sales banners.

A Cheap website. If you are looking to hire a professional service would you trust a template website with bad stock photography and pop up forms and ads? This makes clients feel unsecure and like you are going to run off into the sunset with their money. If you can’t invest in your corporate image it sends the message to clients that you’re probably not the professional they are looking for. Invest initially in a custom design with professional branding and you will reap the rewards.
